Usually PP annoys the crap out of me, but Weeds is being quite funny about theirs. They’re all super-blatant and conducive to the principle theme of the show. This week, Kevin Nealon as Doug slurped down sodas from Arby’s and perennial DR fave California Pizza Kitchen, and the entire Agrestic City Council chowed on Panda Express. More on Panda Express later.

Nancy’s “I can’t believe we’re about to eat Baskin Robbins!” gush fest was the most photo-worthy. Fine, to be honest, I took pics of all four logos but this was the only one that came out non-slanted and colorful. My aptitude for taking photos of my TV decreases drastically after 2 a.m. (and 2 Tylenol PM! Haha!)

Best product placement ever: 24. Jack Bauer breaks into a car in the middle of a hectic situation. Its not a Ford because you can’t break into Fords. Thank goodness the owner of the car left his or her Sprint cell phone in a holster by the dashboard. Even better, Sprint cell phones are now available with built in GPS! This makes it really easy for Jack to find out where he is going and enables the hour to be saved.

This was upgraded from great placement to best placement ever when Fox went to a commercial and the first spot was only 5 seconds long, the time it takes for the 24 announcer to say “Do you want to navigate the streets like a Government Agent? Get the new Sprint Navigation phone.”

No. Best product placement ever? Well, maybe most annoying? Toys R Us today, went to buy play food for my niece. They have SUBWAY food. And McDONALDS food. I mean… shouldn’t that be free?? Isn’t it advertising??
    Ugh.
And heaven forbid they have a Sesame Street CD.
